Celebrate BlacBreastfeeding Week 2026

August is World and National Breastfeeding month. As part of the celebration  this week we celebrate Black Breastfeeding Week. Black Breastfeeding Week aims to promote breastfeeding among Black women, address racial disparities in breastfeeding rates, and highlight the importance of community support and culturally competent care for Black mothers.  Black Breastfeeding Week 2026 takes place from August 25 to August 31, featuring the theme "WE ALL WE GOT: 15 Years of Community, Care, and Collective Power."  Visit the following sites to find out the benefits of breastfeeding, get information and support mothers.
